Can you believe 5 more days until Christmas. This year has gone by so fast and I can’t wait to see what the New Year brings in dramas but let’s move along with My 25 days of Asian Christmas.
DSP Friends ~ White Letter
Miss Granny is Oh Mal Soon (Na Moon Hee), a 74-year-old widow who lives with her son, Hyun Chul (Sung Dong Il) and his family. One day her son informs her that he will be sending her to a nursing home while his wife recovers from her recent stint in the hospital. That night she walks around town and comes to a photo studio that claims to take youthful looking pictures but when she leaves the studio, she is taken by surprised at the sudden and unbelievable change to her appearance. She is now a 20-year-old version of herself, Oh Doo Ri (Shim Eun Kyung)
This movie truly belongs to Na Moon Hee and Shim Eun Kyung. I seriously don’t think this movie would have been as good as it is without these 2 women. Shim Eun Kyung embodied the mannerisms of Na Moon Hee’s character so perfect that you really thought that she was the younger version of Moo Hee.
The supporting cast was just that. Supporting! I did think that having Lee Jin wook would have made a bigger impression in the movie but he was out-shined and upstaged my Shim Eun Kyung. He was a upstaged by Park In Hwan. He played the character, Mr. Park, who is in love with Mal Soon. I couldn’t stop laughing at Mr Park.
You will definitely laugh from beginning to end. This movie is not short on wonderful comedic timing by all the characters. There is even a surprise cameo. I was totally fangirling.
